Heat pump with underfloor heating in Ibiza: cost
In short
The price of a heat pump with underfloor heating varies a lot depending on whether the floor already exists, or is laid in a renovation or a new build. This guide separates the heat pump from the floor, explains each item and what to ask.

What drives the price?
The quote has two blocks that are worth looking at separately:
- The heat pump, with its hot water cylinder, controls and commissioning. Its price depends on output.
- The underfloor heating, with insulation, pipe, screed, manifolds and thermostats. Its price depends on the area and the type of work.
If the floor already exists, the second block almost disappears. Why they work so well together is explained in underfloor heating and heat pumps.
How much does it cost by type of work?
Indicative ranges. Grants, floor finishes and building work are not included.
| Case | What it includes | Price range |
|---|---|---|
| Existing underfloor heating | Heat pump, cylinder, flushing and connection to the circuit | [DATO PENDIENTE] |
| Renovation with a low-profile system | Heat pump and renovation underfloor heating | [DATO PENDIENTE] |
| New build | Heat pump and underfloor heating with standard screed | [DATO PENDIENTE] |
| Underfloor heating and cooling with fan coils | The above plus fan coils to dehumidify in summer | [DATO PENDIENTE] |
| Reference | Value |
|---|---|
| Underfloor heating per m² in a new build | [DATO PENDIENTE] |
| Underfloor heating per m² in a renovation | [DATO PENDIENTE] |
Which items should the quote include?
| Item | What it is |
|---|---|
| Heat pump | Brand, model, refrigerant and output |
| Hot water cylinder | Capacity in litres |
| Edge and base insulation | Board under the pipes and a strip around each room |
| Pipe | Material and length, split into circuits |
| Screed | Type and thickness; low-profile systems in renovations |
| Manifolds | One per floor or zone, with flow meters |
| Controls | Room or zone thermostats and an outdoor sensor |
| Humidity sensors | If the floor will cool, to prevent condensation |
| Fan coils or dehumidifier | If you want to remove humidity in summer |
| Commissioning | Filling, bleeding, balancing and first heating of the screed |
| Registration | Paperwork under the RITE |
Which costs are not always visible?
- Lifting the existing floor and removing rubble, in a renovation.
- Trimming doors and adjusting the first stair step.
- Levelling the slab before laying the insulation.
- The new floor finish, which must be suitable for underfloor heating.
- Flushing the old circuit if you reuse a floor that ran on a boiler.
- Increasing the electrical power, if you are leaving heating oil or propane.
How do you compare two quotes?
- Same heated area and same number of circuits.
- Same system: standard or low-profile, and at what thickness.
- Zone control: how many thermostats and whether an outdoor sensor is included.
- Cooling: if the floor will cool, humidity sensors must be included.
- What is left out: floor finish, building work and rubble removal.
